RULES FOR VISITORS

Before heading to Darlington Raceway for the Goodyear 400, it’s important to be familiar with the event regulations. Like all NASCAR events, strict entry policies are in place to ensure safety and a smooth experience for all spectators. Reviewing these rules in advance will help you avoid delays or issues at the gate.

What can’t I bring in?

As with all NASCAR events, spectators attending the Goodyear 400 must follow the rules set by Darlington Raceway. To help ensure safety and a smooth experience for everyone, security checks are carried out at all entrances. Bags and personal belongings will be inspected, and any prohibited items must be returned to your car or disposed of, as storage at the gate is not available. Illegal items will be reported to the authorities, and anything found inside the venue will be confiscated.

The following items are not allowed inside the circuit (this is not a complete list):

  • Aerosol cans (except sunscreen, hand sanitiser, insect repellent, or sunblock)
  • Firearms or weapons of any kind
  • Cameras with detachable lenses or lenses longer than 6 inches
  • Folding or camping chairs
  • Confederate flag displays
  • Drones or any unmanned aerial devices
  • Dry ice
  • Fireworks or explosives
  • Hard or foam coolers of any size
  • Throwing items such as frisbees, beach balls, or balloons
  • Glass or ceramic containers
  • Hoverboards, skateboards, roller skates, or bicycles
  • Illegal substances
  • Knives exceeding 3 inches (closed) or 6 inches (open)
  • Laser pointers
  • Air horns or other noise-making devices
  • Clothing with offensive or inappropriate content
  • Seat cushions with metal components
  • Selfie sticks
  • Large strollers (only small collapsible types permitted)
  • Tripods or monopods
  • Umbrellas
  • Multi-tools with blades longer than 3 inches
  • Wagons

What can you bring?

  • Backpacks (one per person, max size 18" x 18" x 14") or small bags such as clutch bags or waist packs (up to 4.5" x 6.5")
  • Binoculars, scanners, headsets, and small cameras (non-detachable lens, max 6 inches), carried on a strap or in a clear bag
  • Cigarettes and lighters
  • Clear bags with sealed food and drinks, including alcohol (no glass containers)
  • Soft-sided cooler bags (one per person, max 14" x 14" x 14")
  • Ice
  • Tablets, iPads, and laptops
  • Insulated drink containers up to 64 oz
  • National flags on thin sticks (no thicker than a pencil), provided they do not block the view of others.s
  • Seat cushions without metal parts
  • Service animals
  • Sunscreen, insect repellent,t and sanitiser (spray, gel, or liquid)
  • Small, umbrella-style collapsible strollers

Please allow extra time for security checks on arrival. Following these rules will help speed up entry and avoid unnecessary delays.
